Find the right size

There are three sizes: 30 mm, 35 mm and 40 mm.

How do I know which size I should use?
Best thing to do is simply to try and see. Start with the smallest size and see if it works for you. If it doesn’t, go up a size. And, even if the smallest size does works for you, it might be an idea to try a larger size for comparison’s sake.

1. Preparation

a. Empty your bladder and wash your hands with soap and water.

c. Find a comfortable position, if you are standing it may help to bend your knees slightly.

2. Insertion and positioning

a. Grasp the handle and insert the bladder support: The bladder support should be inserted into the vagina at a slight upward angle, like a tampon. The support rings should pass the narrow vaginal passage and rest on the pelvic floor. The handle should rest tight to the perineum and be covered by the outer labia.

The long part of the handle should point backwards, but it doesn't matter if you get the front and back wrong, the round support rings makes the function is equally good no matter which way the bladder support is positioned!

b. Positioning: Pull the handle lightly, jump or move a bit. If the bladder support does not stay in place or does not reduce leakage, try a larger size or adjust the placement.

Keep in mind that a too small size can chafe both inside and outside - if you experience this, choose a larger size!

3. Removal

a. Before removal, it may be helpful to empty your bladder.

b. Find a comfortable position. If you find it hard to grip, try standing up with slightly bended knees or with one leg raised.

c. Pull the handle lightly and wiggle it slightly from side to side to remove the bladder support.

If you feel resistance or a sense of vacuum when trying to remove it, try to insert your finger next to the Efemia Bladder Support, pressing it to one side whilst wiggling it a little, so air can pass through and break the vacuum seal.
